togather
We helped food and beverage event specialists Togather capture a large range of their work across complex schedules.
The Challenge
Renown for creating well-curated food and beverage spaces for large events, Togather’s commission by its very nature challenged us to shoot a wide variation of environments, people and food and deliver a single cohesive creative approach.
Undertaking both stills and video, we needed this approach to be joined-up so that everything existed in the same world and felt cut from the same cloth.
But the challenge wasn’t just about a strategic Creative Direction that aligned with their brand, it was a logistics one too; we had to have briefed, capable teams at shoots happening simultaneously in difference parts of the country over a busy summer season.
How We Made it Work
After taking the time to soak-in the brand and direction of Togather, we set out to tackle an initial programme of shooting before moving into an ongoing relationship. We:-
Established a Creative Strategy that worked across mediums (like stills and video) and environments, ensuring we mapped out a foundation both for capture and post-production so all the work we produced felt like it was from the same universe
Put the people and the food first - finding those important experiential moments where connections were made. We shot the whole story from being on-site, from the prep to the delivery and the behind-the-scenes logistics where Togather made things happen
Delivered solid Production which put teams of experienced photographers, videographers and producers on the ground wherever they were needed, putting the work into Pre-Production especially so we set off on the right foot. We made sure everyone was shooting with the Creative Direction in mind, kept communication tight and delivered work we were proud of on-time
The Impact
“I needed a photography team comfortable with the attention to detail needed for food photography, the knowledge involved in how to make a burger look as delicious as possible, and the pragmatism required to shoot at a live public event. I also needed someone that was as at home at a day festival in Peckham as an airshow in the Cotswolds or a foodie family festival in Cornwall. It wasn’t an easy brief but Pine understood exactly what I was after from the get go. ”
