love supreme

We’ve helped Europe’s biggest outdoor jazz festival Love Supreme deliver impeccable imagery that connect with their audiences for years and put people there.

The Challenge

The festival space is a challenging place to be and the need to get cut-through is more important than ever.

Neapolitan Music and U-Live - the producers behind Love Supreme - needed a new approach to their visual content that showcased the talent across multiple days, stages and spaces.

Offering a raft of engaging features, vendors, activations and sponsors alongside a strong performance programme, it was crucial that content matched the desired audiences and put viewers in the moments. The festival needed a team which could capture all the varying aspects of show days and bring them into a single unified creative vision. Whether it was the food, the yoga or the headliner, it needed to feel Love Supreme.

Our experience in the live event ecosystem meant we knew the common overarching challenges Love Supreme faced and knew we needed to put responsiveness and agility at the forefront of what we’d do.

How We Made it Work

Over the course of working together, we’ve grown how we work with the Love Supreme festival team by recognising what the pain points were for them, and finding solutions. Meeting the challenges, we:-

  • Put the right team in place by commissioning talented, experienced photographers, producers and editors who know how to deliver as part of a team

  • Made plans and removed stress through solid pre-production that takes the pain away from the festival team and gets everyone ready for shoot days

  • Created a unified creative approach which worked across the multiple areas of the festival and found the balance between using photographer’s unique approach and the brand themes of the event

  • Set ourselves up to be responsive to the ever-changing environment of a major event. We designed the team and put communication in place so we could stay agile

  • Empowered the team to find those special moments and make our best work by giving them the freedom to play within a structure that supported them and the needs of the event

  • Build-in evolution by allowing time to experiment, being ready to change on-the-ground and robust debriefing that means everyone is always learning

The Impact

“I’ve worked with Alex and his team for a number of years across our events, from single stage shows like Nocturne to large scale multi-stage festivals like Love supreme and KITE. Working with the team has always been a delight - they’re really clear about their briefs, provide Art Direction which reflects the vision I have and takes it in a new creative direction I might not have thought of. There’s just a level of trust in clarity and timing of communication that allows you not to worry. ”
